After defeating the 24th ranked team in the Nation the Oaks of Menlo College on Thursday night, the Golden Eagles Women's Basketball team was looking to keep up the momentum as they took on the Keelhaulers of Cal Maritime University on Saturday Night. The Golden Eagles came up on top and defeated the Keelhaulers 70-58.

The Golden Eagles carried the momentum from two nights before and took a 5-point lead going into the half. La Sierra never looked back and went on to scored 40 points during the second half.

The Golden Eagles shot (22-58) 37.9% from the field compare to the (19-64) 29.7% by the Keelhaulers. The Golden Eagles also out-rebounded the Keelhaulers 45-35 respectively. Brittany Walkers posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles will finish their Northern California trip tomorrow afternoon as they play the Bobcats of UC Merced.

The Golden Eagles have won 5 out of their last 6 games.
