Pomona, CA - Looking for their fourth straight victory, the Golden Eagles women's basketball team travelled to Pomona Pitzer College tonight.  After a back-n forth contest, La Sierra was fortunate to use a second half run to pull away for the 60-50 victory.

Each teams exchanged runs in the first half to go in to halftime tied at 28-28.  But midway through the second half the Golden Eagles were able to create a cushion that would hold up for their ninth win of the season.


Brittani Walker led the Golden Eagles with 16 points in addition to five steals.  Shelby Madigan added 14 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Joirdan Jones contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. 


The Golden Eagles improve to 9-11 on the season.  Playing all but one of their games on the road this month, the Golden Eagles will travel back to Northern California next weekend for their second of two trips next weekend.  The  Golden Eagles will face William Jessup University next Saturday night, followed by a match-up with Simpson University on Sunday, before finishing out the trip on Monday with against Pacific Union College.
