Riverside, Calif. – The men's basketball program is happy to announce the signing of Darryn Everage Jr. The 6'2 guard recently signed a letter-of-intent and plans to pursue a degree in Communications while attending La Sierra University.
Everage has spent the last four years at Westchester High School where he won a Los Angeles City Section Championship his junior season. The Comets advanced to the City Section Championship game again this year but were defeated by Birmingham High School, 85-80. In addition to playing basketball while at Westchester, Everage was also an honors student and plans to bring the same discipline, both on and off the court, to the Golden Eagles squad.
Everage will be the second member of his family to play college basketball. He will join his sister, Jade, who will be entering her senior season next year at Linfield College (NCAA DIII in McMinnville, Ore.). In addition to playing women's basketball, his sister Jade is also a member of the Wildcats Track and Field team.
Please join us in welcoming Darryn and his family to the great Golden Eagles Athletics family and the La Sierra University campus community.
