Senior Samantha Arriaran had 9 kills, freshman Maria Guerrero had 6 kills and both hit over .500 as No. 3 team in the NAIA Independent Ratings La Sierra battled to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-5 win over Mills College in a match on Sunday at The Alumni Pavilion of La Sierra University.

The Golden Eagles pick up their seventh-straight win to improve to 8-1 on the season.

Arriaran, Madigan, and Guerrero led a solid offensive effort for La Sierra, which posted a team attack percentage of .372 in the match. Arriaran had 9 kills in 14 attacks with just two errors (.500), adding 24 assists and 10 aces. Guerrero contributed 6 kills in 10 swings with just one error (.500), adding 3 blocks. Madigan added 8 kills in 16 attacks with one error (.438).

The Golden Eagles dominated the match from beginning to end. Mills College had a total of 7 kills in 71 attacks with 16 errors (-.127). La Sierra had a total of 19 aces.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Colorado for their next three matches. They'll be taking on Embry-Riddle (AZ), Bethany College (KS), and Johnson & Wales.
