
The Golden Eagles 13-Game winning streak came to an end as Cal State San Marcos defeated La Sierra in 4 sets on Friday afternoon.
La Sierra won the first set 25-19. Shelby Madigan led the Golden Eagles with 6 kills during the first set. Samantha Arriaran added 10 assists during the first set. The Golden Eagles had a .483 team hitting percentage during the first set compare to a .276 team hitting percentage from CSSM.
The Cougars won the second and third sets both by scores of
25-17, and took the fourth set 25-20 to close out the match. May led the Cougars
in digs with 19, to go along with DeGraaf's 16 digs and team-high 16
kills. The Cougars improve to 19-6 on the year.
Shelby Madigan tied a career high with 20 kills during the match, she
added 10 digs. Arriaran recorded another double-double with 38 assists and 13
digs. Jessica Katz led the Golden Eagles in blocks with 3 block solos and 2
block assist. Caitlin Jaussi added 8 kills and 8 digs for the Golden Eagles.
