Riverside, CA- Senior Luis Escamilla netted the game-winner in the 7th minute of Double overtime, as the Golden Eagles men's soccer team came away with a 4-3 win over Bethesda Christian University Saturday night.

Escamilla now leads the Golden Eagles (9-5) with six goals on the season, his late one being a game winner.

La Sierra University (9-5 All) notched the first score of the game when Ruben Solis found a rebound and put it pass the BCU goalkeeper.

BCU evened the score, but the Eagles Kenneth Bonanken put La Sierra ahead as he scored inside the box. La Sierra went down 3-2, before David Nolan scored to send the game into overtime.

In the overtime, Luis used a sharp pass from Sophomore Roman Santiago and took couple dribble and fired a shot into the back of the net in the 107th minute.

"I was pleased with our performance, even when we lost Gabriel to the injury (Dislocated shoulder) in the first half, the boys stayed disciplined and we were able to come out with a win. There are little things that need to be cleaned up, but we'll address them as the session, right now I am glad we were able to get the win" Said Coach Jesse Olivas.

The Golden Eagles will host Cal State University San Marcos this Wed Night at 7:00PM in the Match up of the Independent Conference.
