Game 1- Loss 13-3, La Sierra University Golden Eagles Baseball team failed to overcome early adversity. The Golden Eagles struggled to capitalize on early offensive opportunities. In the top half of the first inning the Golden Eagles threatened with two runners on base after a single by Sophomore Joe Mascarenaz and a hit by pitch for  Junior Ryan Diaz with one out. The inning came to an end when Senior Kenny Curiel grounded into a double play.
 
After a few defensive miscues in the bottom of the second inning the Occidental Tigers open up a 6 run inning.
 
Coach Gamboa: "We have to make sure we don't allow the big inning. We just were not sharp, all day." 
 
The home Occidental Tigers added 2 runs in the bottom of the third and 3 in the bottom of the fourth eventually pulling away to a 13 run lead.
 
In the top half of the 9th inning Senior Kenny Curiel hit a 2 run home run to left field scoring Joe Mascarenaz who reached on a fielders choice and a Ryan Diaz who singled to center field.
 
Game 2- Loss 17-0, Much like in game one, not much offense for the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles scattered 5 hits in the seven inning competition. 
 
For the second straight game the Occidental Tigers offense put a beating on the visiting La Sierra University Golden Eagles scoring 17 runs.
 
Coach Gamboa: "We had a hard time making adjustments today and they were flat out better then us, we have no excuses. We'll continue to work hard and expect good results."
 
 The offense was lead by Senior centerfielder Manny Sanchez going (2 for 4, two singles) and Freshman utility man Michael Hinojos (1 for 3, Double)

This was La Sierra's fourth loss in four games (0-4), they play again on Thursday at 3pm against Bethesda University of California.
