Matt Brown is 6'1" 1st base/DH player. His baseball career started at Presidio Little League. He then attended St. Augustine High School and, as a senior he made the San Diego Union Tribune Preseason Players to Watch list, as well as the San Diego Union Tribune Player of the Week. After high school, Matt attended San Diego City College.

"Some of my personal goals include being a positive influence for the younger players and contributing to the program on and off of the field. My team goals are to lead us to the playoffs and beyond", said Matt. Matt's favorite player is Ken Griffey Jr.

Matt Brown would like to thank his family and friends for the support they have given him, he also wants to thank Coach Gamboa and the La Sierra coaching staff for the opportunity to play baseball at La Sierra University.
