Riverside, CA - The La Sierra University Golden Eagles women's basketball program is happy to announce the signing of Naijahlece Calhoun, to a letter of intent. Calhoun joins the Golden Eagles program after playing two seasons at Chaffey College, where she was named to the Foothill All Conference First Team. Naijahlece averaged 8.1 points per game to go along with 5.5 rebounds per game during her time at Chaffey College.


Calhoun is a native of Hacienda Heights, CA, where she graduated from Glen A. Wilson High School in 2010. She was a standout athlete at Glen A. Wilson, playing basketball and running track. "I am definitely looking forward to be a part of this team and contribute to this program," Calhoun said. Naijahlece lettered in both sports and was recognized with numerous honors and awards including the Coaches Award for Excellence, the Hall of Fame Award, Scholar Athlete award, among others.

"We are very happy to welcome Naijah to our institution and our program," said new women's basketball head coach Robert Castillo. "She will add to the experience on our team, and provide us a very strong and athletic presence on the court."
