The Golden Eagles Baseball team has added one more recruit for its 2012-2013 season. Thomas Martinez became the latest baseball signing after he signed a letter of intent last week. Thomas is a 6 foot 150 pound middle infielder from Santa Clara, CA. Thomas started playing ball for the Santa Clara Pony Baseball League before moving to the Mountain View Babe Ruth league where he helped his team win state and lead them to regionals. Thomas will bring experience to the team after playing summer ball for ABD NORCAL Bulldogs. One of his biggest accomplishments includes being nominated for the utility player of the year for the ABD organization in 2011. He graduated from St. Francis High School in Mountain View, CA where he competed at the varsity level. Thomas will major in Business at La Sierra University. "I would like to thank Coach Gabriel Gamboa for the opportunity to continue my baseball career at the college level. I'm excited to play with my new teammates and cannot wait for the season to start," said Thomas.
