El Cajon, CA - Coming off of their most convincing win of the season, this past Saturday night, the Golden Eagles were back on the road to face San Diego Christian College. This would be the first and only meeting between the two teams this season. On paper the match appeared to be a pretty even match-up, and the play on the field proved that fact, with the Hawks edging out La Sierra for the 2-1 win.

All the scoring took place in the first half, with San Diego Christian jumping out into the lead on an unassisted goal by Andrew Robles, in the 17th minute. Robles struck again when Jaun Valdivia set him up, in the 30th minute, to push the lead to 2-0. Kenny Bonanken put the Golden Eagles cut the lead in half, with an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute, but that's as close as thing would get.

With the loss, La Sierra's record drops to 4-3 on the season. They will have the rest of this week to re-group before heading up to Santa Barbara, CA, for a match-up with Westmont College, on Monday, September 17, at 4pm.
