The Golden Eagles Men's Basketball team was looking to bounce back after losing to Menlo College on Friday; however, Cal Maritime University came out with a 63-55 win over the Golden Eagles.

Coach Derek Robbins tried to changes things up as he only played eight players during this game. By the end of the half, the Golden Eagles had a 5 point lead 28-33.

During the second half, the Keelhaulers of Cal Maritime came out strong and outscored the Golden Eagles 35-22. Once again, the Golden Eagles gave up too many second chances as the Keelhauler got 14 offensive rebounds, compare to the 4 offensive rebounds by the Golden Eagles.

Once again, Bennett Shaw was the only player in double digits with 21 points. C.J. Goldsmith came off the bench and contributed with 7 points and 1 steal.

Manzo and Campbell lead the Keelhaulers with 13 and 11 points respectively.

The Golden Eagles will complete their Northern California trip tomorrow afternoon as they take on the Bobcats of UC Merced.
