Rocklin, CA - The women's basketball team opened up a busy weekend, with the first of three straight games, at William Jessup University.  The Golden Eagles were looking to even the season series with the Warriors after dropping their first meeting, with a four-point loss, back in early December.  La Sierra used a solid performance to secure tonight's victory over William Jessup, 67-60.

Natalia Hawthorne finished with 20 points to lead La Sierra.  Brittani Walker had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Shelby Madigan added 11 points in pushing the Golden Eagles to their fifth straight win and eighth win in their last nine games.

The Golden Eagles are now 10-11 on the season.  They will have a quick turn-around as they travel up Interstate 5 to Redding, CA, to face Simpson University  tomorrow afternoon at 2:00pm, followed by a game at Pacific Union College on Monday afternoon.
