Irvine, CA - The women's softball team was swept by No. 5 Concordia University this afternoon. Concordia won Game 1 by a final of 16-2 (5 innings) and Game 2 by a final of 7-0.
The Golden Eagles were held to three hits in each of the two games. In comparison, Concordia had 10 hits in Game 1 and finished with 12 hits in Game 2.
Diamond Turner, Michelle Zimprich, Vanessa McGowen, Jennifer Duenas, Monique Villasenor, and Jozelyn Salazar each collected one of La Sierra's six hits on the day. Duenas picked up the only RBI on the day for the Golden Eagles.
Salazar (0-4) picked up the loss in Game 1 while Aleena Bahling (1-5) was charged with the loss in Game 2.
The Golden Eagles, now 1-10 on the season, will look to turn the page as they travel to Occidental College on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles will remain on the road until March 7, when they will host William Jessup University.
