Riverside, Calif. - Outside hitter Robyn Miller has been named Women's Volleyball Cal Pac Player of the Week, for her play during last week's La Sierra University Invitational Tournament.
"It is really an honor to be selected as Player of the Week, but I wouldn't be here without the hard work and dedication of my teammates and coaches, as we are all striving for the same thing." said Miller.
Miller helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 4-0 start. She had a total of 48 kills (3.0 k/g) with a hitting percentage of .308. In her first match of the season, against Johnson & Wales University, she had 10 kills with only one error, on 15 attempts, for a hitting percentage of .600. Miller had a high of 20 kills with only three errors on 34 attempts (.500) in the victory over San Diego Christian College.
"Robyn is one of our dominant players", said head coach Erin Conley. "She is a key player who plays a powerful role in our offensive system."
The Golden Eagles will host Hope International University tonight, in a re-match of the finale of last week's invitational tournament. The team will close the week out with a trip to #16 Westmont College, before returning home to open Cal Pac play next Tuesday, against Pacific Union College.
