Early in the second half, the Lions continued build their lead, pushing the deficit to 28 points, before the Golden Eagles mounted a run. Over a six minute span, the Golden Eagles used a 15-2 run to cut the lead to 61-46. That would be as close as the Golden Eagles would get for the remainder of the game.
Despite outscoring the Lions in the second half, the Golden Eagles were unable to erase the first half deficit they found themselves in.
