La Mirada, Calif. - A week after falling to Biola University on their home court, the Golden Eagles had a chance to avenge their loss in a non-conference road game at Biola.  Unfortunately for the Golden Eagles the result was similar as Biola recorded a 95-86 win over La Sierra this evening.

Due to some technical issues with the statistics, we were unable to get play-by-play statistics.  But what we do know is that the two teams played a similar game to that of a week ago, with one exception.  In the first meeting between the two teams, La Sierra held a slight lead by winning the first half.  In tonight's game, the Golden Eagles trailed 45-34 at the half, before coming out with a strong second half, outscoring Biola 52-50 in the half.

La Sierra was unable to overcome their first half deficit, as Biola answered every the Golden Eagles threw at them.  The Golden Eagles did cut the lead to five points on a couple of occasions but that was as close as they would get, as them men's basketball team dropped to 2-9 on the season.

Wolfgang Wood and Daveon Woods each tallied 21 points for the Golden Eagles.  Woods also added five assists, while they pulled down five rebounds and four rebounds respectively.

La Sierra had two other players score in double-figures with Kourtney Maxim adding 13 points and Ian Mozeleski tallying 11points.  CJ Goldsmith led the team with six assists on the night.

The men's basketball team will take the rest of the week off to focus on final exams.  They will be back in action on December 14, when they travel to Santa Clara University.
