The Lions jumped out to the early 2-0 lead in the 1st inning, before the Golden Eagles tied the game at 2-2, with two run in the bottom of the 4th inning.

After a strikeout, for the second out of the inning, Emily Campos entered the game as a pinch-hitter and earned a walk to score the winning run.
Bahling was subsequently hit by a pitch, which gave the Golden Eagles an insurance run, but they wouldn't need it, as La Sierra was able to keep Vanguard off the board and secure the 4-2 victory.
Both teams each finished with seven hits in the game. Bahling led her team from the pitcher's mound, but also led her team at the plate, tallying three RBI's on a 1-for-2 day.
