Riverside, Calif. - Brandon Chavez has become the latest recruit to sign a letter of intent with La Sierra University.

The 5'11 midfielder joins the Golden Eagles men's soccer program from Temescal Canyon High School (Lake Elsinore, Calif.).  During his time as a Titan, Chavez was recognized for his play on the field.

All four seasons of his high school career were played on the varsity squad, where he earned Most Valuable Player and Player of the Year honors during that span.  He was also named All League, All Valley, and All CIF Southern Section, while helping lead his team to back-to-back Sunbelt League Championships in the last two years.

Chavez finished this past season, third on his team in points scored (14), with 6 goals and two assists.  In his junior season he tallied a career high 24 points (nine goals and six assists).

While at La Sierra University, Chavez will join the Criminal Justice program.  We would like to extend a welcome Brandon, and his family, to the La Sierra University community.
