Victor Mena Jr. is the latest recruit to sign a letter of intent with the Golden Eagles baseball team.

The 5'9 right-handed pitcher will arrive to La Sierra University from Phoenix College.  Prior to his time at Phoenix College, Mena graduated from Westview High School (Avondale, AZ).  While at Westview, he played on the varsity baseball team for three years, the varsity golf team for three years, and he also played basketball his freshmen year.

Victor is the second in his family to play collegiate baseball.  He is preceded by his uncle, Eduardo Maro, who played at Pima Community College (Tucson, AZ) from 1994-95.

While at La Sierra University, Victor will major in Liberal Studies.  He brings great credentials and academic success, having graduated with honors and as a member of the National Honor Society in high school.

We welcome Victor to La Sierra University and the Golden Eagles athletic family.
