Coach Carroll began her coaching career at Walla Walla University as a student coach with both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, while pursing her BS degree in Physical Education/Health. From there she coached at Loma Linda Academy (LLA), a private college preparatory high school in the Inland Empire, where she taught Physical Education and worked in the athletics department as the Assistant Athletic Director over a span of 10 years. Coach Carroll was named Coach of the Year for Basketball in the CIF-SS Ambassador League in 2013.
Coach Carroll has had a successful coaching career thus far, leading teams to undefeated seasons, playoff runs, and league championships; however, she feels her greatest success has been mentoring student-athletes she’s coached over the years. Coach Carroll believes in putting athletes first, using the motto, “We not Me” and fostering a competitive, yet inclusive, family environment.
Coach Carroll is an avid snowboarder, loves the outdoors and playing new sports, such as Spikeball. She’s a member of NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports Association), WBCA (Women’s Basketball Association) and is a NESTA Certified SAQ (speed, agility and quickness) Specialist. Coach Carroll earned her MA in Coaching and Athletic Administration in 2013 from Concordia University Irvine.
