Alise Weber is beginning her second year as
assistant softball coach at La Sierra University. Before coaching at
La Sierra University, she provided individual pitching instruction to girls of all ages
and spent one year working with the pitchers at La Sierra Academy.
Coach Weber was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan and had
an exciting pitching career during her high school years at Grand Rapids
Christian High School, which included 4 straight city league
championships. Coach Weber also played with the District 9 All-star
team which won two Michigan state championships in 1997 and 1999. In
1999 Coach Weber accepted a softball scholarship to play Division II
softball at Washington Adventist University where she was the starting
pitcher for 4 years.
Coach Weber graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in counseling
psychology from Washington Adventist University and a Masters in Public
Health degree from Loma Linda Universty. When she is not coaching she
enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
A favorite quote of Coach Weber's is:
Leaders aren't born, they are made. And they are made just like anything
else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to
achieve that goal, or any goal. Vincent Lombardi
