Joe Mascarenaz was born and raised in Oceanside, CA where he was a 2 sport standout. Was a 3 year Varsity Letterman on the Baseball Team. His Sophomore season the Pirates were the CIF Runner Ups. His Junior and Senior year he was the starting second baseman. His senior year he was named to the All Union-Tribune Team. Also was a 2 Year Varsity letterman on the football team. His junior year they won the CIF Championship and was also honored with winning Special Teams POY, was a back up DB. His Senior year he was apart of winning another CIF Title at Qualcomm Stadium and winning the Division 1 State Championship. The football team was ranked #1 in the state. His senior season he played Safety for the State Champion Pirates. Was also getting some attention from CSUDH,CCNY and among others. Son of Joe and Diana Mascarenaz, one sister Kim.
