
Coach Gabe Gamboa has had the La Sierra University since the 2010/11 season. Though relatively new to the program, he has already made significant contributions with his wealth of knowledge and program improvements. Prior to taking over the baseball program, Coach Gamboa was the Head Coach and Team Coordinator for the ABCL Tigers. In addition, he has instructed for California Instructional Baseball Academy and Amateur Baseball Development. Coach Gamboa has worked as Head JV Baseball Coach and Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Ramona High School in Riverside, California, and has also been giving private hitting instruction for many years. He has worked as a volunteer high school baseball coach with Arlington High School and La Sierra Academy both in Riverside, California. Coach Gamboa was a participant in the 1996 Jr. Pan American Games played in Mexico City, Mexico. He played for Coach Gary Rungo of Arlington High school in Riverside, California, and Coach Gamboa was personally mentored by former professional baseball player Mike Stubbins. Gamboa has been married to his wife, Anna, for 5 years. They are expecting their first child in May 2012. They currently reside in Corona, California. They own and run several successful businesses, and spent several years studying business development, business law and tax law.
