
John Bonifacini joins the La Sierra Baseball program for the 2012 season assuming the duties of Pitching Coach.
Prior to joining the Golden Eagles, Coach Bonifacini was an assistant coach at Oak Ridge High School in 2008, and held various player/coach positions during his professional/international playing career.
As a collegiate player, he pitched at College of Marin('06) and Sonoma State University('05, ‘07-'08). In his one season at Marin he helped lead the Mariners to the fisrt Bay Valley Conf. Championship in 12 years. At Sonoma State he was a part of multiple #1 nationally ranked Seawolves teams, including helping SSU reach the first DII College Baseball World Series in school history while eventually finishing 3rd in the nation. After graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology, Coach Bonifacini spent the last three seasons pitching professionally in numerous Independent and International baseball leagues.
Coach Bonifacini is originally from El Dorado Hills, CA, just outside Sacramento, and currently resides in Ontario, CA. He is a Speed and Strength coach in his spare time.
